After five successive days of harping on trends that don’t work, I’m taking a short-cut today. Here’s how I buck the trends with substitutes that work for my body type. Honestly, I’d dress this way every day if it didn’t get so monotonous.
Why this works for pear shapes
The party is on top: a print blouse, a vintage necklace given to me by my mother-in-law, and a mustard sweater all add bulk and attention to my smallest part.
The J.Crew Hutton Super 120 Trousers emphasize my smaller waist and skim the contours of my ever-growing middle, dropping to a full leg that conceals the girth of my hips and thighs.
I think it works!
The Seven Wonders of a Pear Shaped World collage was made with Polyvore. It’s my first brush with this tool and I’m in love with it.
Have you tried it yet? Let’s connect on Polyvore!
Life is short. Wear the good stuff.

I have played in Polyvore, it is fun to imagine I can have an outfit with a Birkin bag. That will never happen in this lifetime. I am digging those super cute kitten heels. I am tolerjill on Polyvore.
