On close inspection, we realized that Erica T, Indy's Vintage Diva had slipped this dress on with the front cowl draped over the back. It actually belongs in the front-V neck. She looked so beautiful in the dress, we hardly noticed in the photo shoot!

I’ve had several favorite colors over the course of my life, but my first was pink. Young friends who are rabid fashion fans tell me that contemporary girls don’t wear pink anymore. Well, that may be true, but this fabulous custom-made formal from the 1960s should at least give them pause. I love the waterfall at the back neckline. Wouldn’t this make a great spring formal at $100? We’ll be adding this dress and several others to the Bridal and Special Occasion section tomorrow, but you can buy it today.

P.S. I have wanted a dress with a waterfall at the back since 1965 when I spent a week with the two rock stars of my life, my Aunt Al and Uncle Roy. They were going out for dinner one evening during my visit and my aunt work a gorgeous knee-length black cocktail dress with a satin cowl-neck and a chiffon waterfall draped off the back. She paired it with hot-pink straw slingback pumps. This dress reminds SO MUCH of it.

Here's the front, minus the cowl that Erica has draped over the back. Lovely sequin panel at the waist. It has a Grecian quality, doesn't it?
