Once again, I’m guest posting today at Karina Dresses with the second part of a story about a very real travel risk–how to protect yourself against bed bugs.
Bed bugs don’t care how elegant and tidy you are. They’re an equal opportunity insect! No matter how unwelcome the thought, don’t bury your head in the sand. If you travel, you need to know these things, which can save you a lot of trouble—and money.
Meanwhile, I leave you with two things:
1) The quote in today’s photo came from The Shoemaker’s Wife, by Adriana Trigiani. May this never be said of any of us!
2) A hint for anyone following my recent Fashion & Fiction giveaway. Guess the book that this quote came from, and I’ll send you an embroidered or vintage hankie from my collection. Other hints are shown in the original giveaway post.
“My first new dress in four years, and such a dress! It is the exact color of a ripe peach and falls in folds when I move.”
My third and final hint: the book has recently been mentioned here on the blog!
Leave your guess by commenting on this post!
Life is short. Wear the good stuff.

I read your article, parts one and two, with great interest. Vancouver has had it’s share of bedbug problems, and it’s certainly not a problem I want to experience. I have paid pretty close attention to the siting of my suitcase, but clearly there is so much more to be done! Thank you for a great article.
I enjoyed your comment on my blog today Crystal! Thank you!
